The Arbitrum Foundation is excited to announce the expansion of the Arbitrum Ambassador Program to new regions in 2025. The expansion will begin with the launch of dedicated regional tracks in Korea and Brazil in addition to existing locations — India, Nigeria, and Mexico.

The Ambassador Program is an Arbitrum Foundation’s initiative to build a grassroots community in the ecosystem. The program empowers members to represent Arbitrum in their local communities by encouraging them to educate users and developers about Arbitrum technology and create a global network of dedicated community builders who can propel the ecosystem to new heights.

Expansion to Korea and Brazil

The Arbitrum Ambassadors program was launched in 2023 as a community-building initiative. The program has since optimized and grown from a student-led initiative focused on university events to include Web3 proponents from all walks of life.

In 2024, the program was reignited with a dedicated focus on three key regions (India, Nigeria, and Mexico) with high advocacy to experiment and expand beyond events. Alongside community engagements via regional IRL events, emphasis was placed on online content creation and developer onboarding. Since August 2024, ambassadors submitted roughly 1,200 pieces of high-quality content, both technical and non-technical, via X (formerly Twitter) that earned a stunning reach of over 122 million for the Arbitrum ecosystem.

In light of the above success, the Arbitrum Foundation is expanding to two additional regions in Q1 2025 — Korea and Brazil. Both countries have shown strong community participation organically and bring great value to the Arbitrum ecosystem.

What’s New

All ongoing ambassador activities — including in-person and online events, community engagement via content creation, and developer onboarding — will continue as usual. In addition, the Ambassador Program will expand its focus to:

  • Onboarding ambassadors from New Regions: Applications are now open in Korea and Brazil, joining our existing regions of India, Nigeria, and Mexico.
  • Strengthen Regional Engagement: By introducing language-based content grants, Ambassadors will be encouraged to produce high-quality content in their native languages, including Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese.
