The Arbitrum Foundation is excited to announce the launch of Phase 2 of the Arbitrum Ambassador Program in Nigeria, India and Mexico, which have been hotspots of community engagement for the ecosystem.

Starting today, the scope of our ambassador initiatives will extend beyond university students (as in Phase 1) to Web3 enthusiasts from all walks of life. Dynamic advocates with strong social media presence and passion for new technology will play a key role in driving education programs for the Arbitrum ecosystem. A key highlight of Phase 2 will be the emphasis on digital content creation by ambassadors and building online communities that transcend borders as much as on hosting IRL workshops and hackathons in their local communities.

Phase One Recap

Launched in Q3 2023, Arbitrum Ambassador Program is a community and ecosystem initiative to support technical and non-technical contributors excited about Arbitrum technology to learn, build, and educate audiences virtually as well as in person.

Under Phase 1, the main focus was on students and universities. More than 3000 applications were received of which 160 were accepted as Arbitrum Ambassadors across 36 counties, including university-based blockchains clubs such as Harvard Blockchain Club, Princeton Blockchain Club, 404DAO, FranklinDAO, and more. Collectively, these ambassadors organized 30 plus IRL events, including technical workshops, and produced 100 plus high-quality content resources for the community to use.

We thank all our ambassadors for making Phase 1 of the program a grand success and look forward to the continued success.

Phase Two: What activities are included?

As an advocate of the largest L2 protocol, ambassadors are primarily tasked with the growth and development of the Arbitrum ecosystem through education programs. This may include activities such as (but not limited to):

  • Online content creation: Producing high-quality technical and non-technical content, ecosystem related updates, etc.
  • Online events and meet-ups: Organizing and hosting online events, virtual meet-ups and AMAs
  • Community Engagement: Activating community participation through IRL meet-ups and local events
