Trailblazer 2.0: $1M in Grants to Power Agentic DeFi on Arbitrum
DeFi on Arbitrum is evolving, and with it, a new wave of intelligent, onchain innovation is emerging. To support this momentum, the Arbitrum Foundation is launching Trailblazer 2.0, a $1M funding program focused on supporting impactful DeFi agents and contributions built with Vibekit, a new Arbitrum-native MCP agent framework developed by Ember.
This iteration of Trailblazer builds on the success of the original $1M Trailblazer AI Grant Program, which helped onboard dozens of AI projects to the Arbitrum ecosystem. With Trailblazer 2.0, we’re doubling down on the ideas and builders that can leverage DeFi — by supporting performant DeFi agents and direct contributions to Vibekit with funding.
Grant Overview
We’re offering $1 million in grants to support builders who launch agents, agent templates, or any of the contributions below with VibeKit, demonstrating clear utility and performance, with a cap of $10k per submission.
This includes:
- DeFi Agents — Agents executing profitable or innovative strategies using Arbitrum DeFi
- Agent Add-ons & Plug-ins — Modular extensions that enhance agent capabilities
- Open Source Agent Templates — Shareable blueprints others can use to spin up new agents
- Capability Integrations — Tooling or services that plug into agents to unlock new use cases
Prioritized contributions could include:
- Templates that execute complex DeFi strategies
- The creation of a backtesting suite for Vibekit agents
- Agentic DeFi Mini Apps in Farcaster
- Open source contributions that expand the utility of the broader VibeKit agent ecosystem — Frontend components such as trading history for Vibekit agents, P&L calculation, etc
You can also explore Ember’s bounty board to collaborate with them directly on your Vibekit contributions.
If you’ve deployed an AI agent, created an agent template using Vibekit, or contributed to Vibekit, you may be eligible for funding.
Submit your deployed agent, template, or contribution here.
Arbitrum Vibekit
Vibekit is a growing Arbitrum-native MCP agent framework for building autonomous DeFi agents created and maintained by Ember. It enables developers to design agents that are modular, composable, and deeply integrated with Arbitrum’s high-speed, low-cost infrastructure, with integrations into Arbitrum DeFi.
On launch, Vibekit has support for Pendle, GMX, Aave, and Camelot, with the ability for any Arbitrum team to integrate their protocols directly into Vibekit. Hyperbolic, Playgrounds, Eliza, Trendmoon, and Allora are also supported as tools within Vibekit. Over time, Vibekit will be upgraded with added features by the Ember team alongside contributions from the community to make it the go-to agent kit for the Arbitrum DeFi ecosystem.
